OpenAI's battle against the odds

Until @OpenAI builds it's own browser + ai products to match what people use google for, google will always have the upper hand.

OpenAI has a lot on it's plate but the only way to pure dominance is through complete closed integration of,

• building the models
• building apis
• building the software (browser, docs, image editing, everything etc.)
• building out the hardware (phones, watches etc.)

The reason why google wins right now is because of the number of touch points it has in our life. It's literally embedded into everything we do.

The reason why openai could win is people want something new.

They gotta apple this shit and prove that nobody can beat them on their speed and execution of building groundbreaking AI touch points and embedding those into our lives.

Nobody will remember them for having a good llm. Everyone's doing "good" llms these day. They need to control the distribution AND have the best LLM while at it.
